Our network is built for data and future-proofed for 4G technologies. We have invested millions of pounds in developing and expanding our network and this means we can connect more people to the internet in more places whilst increasing our capacity to meet the ever-increasing demand for data.
Over 90% of our customers are choosing smartphones and increasingly opt for our all-you-can-eat data plans which provide the freedom to get the most out of smartphones without the fear of how much it will cost.
Smartphones are rapidly becoming the first access point to the internet for UK consumers. Over the past two years, internet use on mobile handsets has grown dramatically. As new users experience the benefits of all-you-can-eat data for the first time, they require higher levels of support, help and education.
We are focused on enabling our customers to get the best out of the mobile internet by making it easy to find, and to help them benefit from apps and services in their daily lives. We are also working to make it easier than ever for our customers to manage their accounts and their interactions with our business using the resources that are enabled by our network and the mobile internet access it provides.
Challenging and Changing mobile
Three strives to challenge and change the mobile industry for the benefit of consumers. When we entered the market in 2003, the environment in which we operated was very different. Prices were high and consumers had little choice but to pay extortionate prices for mobile internet on their handsets and for mobile broadband services.
Since launch, Three has gone on to offer affordable flat rate mobile internet, low-cost mobile broadband from just £10 a month as well as free internet calling on Skype to all customers so that they can really enjoy the benefits of the internet on their phones.
While others moved to limit data on smartphones, we launched all-you-can-eat data on Pay Monthly and Pay As You Go. The One Plan offers a huge bundle of minutes, texts and all-you-can-eat data, providing peace of mind and clear value.
We will continue to campaign for cheaper calls to mobiles, an easier way to keep your number when you move network and for lower roaming charges when travelling abroad.
