Challenging and changing mobile
We want to make life easier for our customers by helping them get the most out of their mobile devices, offering real value from the services we provide and by removing the barriers that frustrate them. Since our launch in 2003, we have done things differently to other mobile operators.
Here are a few of the things we’ve done:
• We were the first to offer All You Can Eat data.
• While others blocked internet services like Skype, we embraced the great things the internet brings to mobile.
• Our Feel At Home offer lets our customers call and text the UK and use data out of their UK allowance when abroad in a host of countries.
• We’ve made it free to call 0800, 0808 and 0500 numbers for all contract customers on our latest price plans and reduced the cost of calling other 08 numbers, like 084 and 087, to 5p a minute.
We have always challenged the market and driven competition, resulting in lower prices and a better experience for UK mobile consumers.
We intend to continue to remove the barriers to consumers making the most of their mobiles
Our network was built for the internet. We carry over 40% of the UK’s mobile data traffic.
We want our customers to make the most of the internet using their devices - whether that’s catching up with the weekend’s goals, updating their Facebook page and Twitter feed or Skyping their mum on the bus home.
We think everyone should enjoy the benefits of 4G with no catches. All our customers with a 4G device can enjoy 4G in a 4G coverage area – all at no extra cost. There’s no need to sign a new contract, get a new plan or pay a premium.
We have started to roll out 4G where we have the greatest demand for our service to ensure we can deliver the best overall experience for all our customers.
By the end of 2015, 4G on Three will cover 98% of the population.
Until then, our 3G network already covers more than 98% of the population – with over 80% enjoying a fast internet experience on our advanced 3G network.
