Best football apps for the new season.

It’s been an amazing summer for British sport – so much so that we almost didn’t notice that the Premier League football season had come to an end back in May.

Now the new football season is here, and there are a multitude of ways to enjoy the beautiful game on your mobile. Here are Discover’s best football apps for the new football season.

Football kicks is a fun app that lets you practice your free kicks. Just swipe the screen to control the direction of your shot. It sounds easy, but it’s highly addictive. There are seven action-packed game modes including multiplayer, fully customisable player and more.

The Sun Dream Team 2012/2013 app

The Sun Dream Team 2012/2013. (Free – Apple, Android)

This app lets you pick and manage your team, make pre-season and in-season transfers, and join or create up to five Mini Leagues to compete against your friends and family, all from your smartphone or device. For the first time, Dream Team managers will be asked to pick a captain before entering their team, and your team will be automatically entered into a league with all other Dream Team managers that support your Premier League club.
