Three emerged as the clear winner of Best Mobile Broadband in the Mobile Today Awards 2011.
Providers were judged on the following criteria:
- Average data connection speed (e.g. how long it takes to load web page or download a music track)
- Value for money
- Choice of deals
- Download limits
- Reliability on the move
- Roaming tariffs
- Innovation
Three was highly praised for improving speeds year on year, for offering great value and a large range of deals, and for leading the way in innovation by being the first to offer mobile Wi-Fi in the UK.
Independent judges Broadband Genie commented, “Not only has Three improved its average speeds year on year once again, it was a clear winner of the
Broadband Genie Road Trip 2011 and offers great value and range of deals.
“In addition, Three has continued to lead the way in innovation in mobile broadband. It followed being first to market with mobile Wi-Fi in the UK with being the first to release its impressive 3G+ dongle.”
