Introducing the next generation MiFi.

MiFi® - a pocket-sized wireless dongle that can connect up to five Wi-Fi devices to the internet at once – was launched by Three in 2010.

A hugely innovative product, it snapped up the honours – being named T3 Work Gadget of the Year 2010 and Best iPad Accessory in the 2010 Macworld Awards.

Now Three is building on this success with the launch of the next generation of MiFi® - the Huawei E586.

The E586 comes with a host of enhancements – not least HSPA+ technology that makes browsing up to 40% faster. In short, HSPA+ is the next step up from a 3G network, built for using the mobile internet. The technology inside MiFi® E586 connects to the mobile internet and processes information at super-fast speeds.

With 80% of Three’s network upgrading to HSPA+ technology by the end of 2011, the device and the network work together to bring you a faster, smoother experience. You’ll find huge improvements in viewing photos, downloading attachments and watching online videos. HSPA+ is on the inside but you’ll notice new features on the outside of MiFi® E586 too.

There’s a digital screen that reminds you of key information, including your password - making it even easier to connect to all your Wi-Fi gadgets - plus a new mirrored top finish and soft-touch back.

MiFi® E586 comes with a charging cradle that offers a range of improvements. It’s more convenient to charge but also allows you to position your MiFi® for the best possible signal.

The cradle also makes it easier for you to move your MiFi® around and it’ll always have a neat place to live.

In addition, you can use MiFi® E586 as a storage device – it has a slot for a micro SD card up to 32GB – and with a 4.5 hour battery life, it’s perfect for taking out and about.

David Kerrigan, head of mobile broadband at Three, said: 'As the UK's fastest-growing mobile network, we’re delighted to introduce our high speed mobile Wi-Fi product'.

‘This joins our award winning HSPA+ dongles making us the only operator offering an entirely next generation HSPA+ enabled range of mobile broadband products. Aside from this step up in speed, the new cradle charger, which looks great, will help people get the best performance in the home.’
