What is Windows Live Messenger?

You can send and receive instant messages for free with Windows Live Messenger on your mobile. It means you can chat in real-time when you’re out and about, no matter where in the world your mates are. Set your status - so that people know if you’re free to chat - and see when your mates are online.

How does Windows Live Messenger work?

Windows Live Messenger is compatible with nearly all of our mobiles. Just go to Favourites (known as Launcher or QuickLinks on some mobiles) and click on Windows Live Messenger. Or go to Planet 3, Services, Email & Social Networks and follow the instructions to download it. To start using Windows Live Messenger on your mobile you need a PC account. If you haven’t already got one, go to http://download.live.com/?sku=messenger on your PC to register and then use those details on your mobile.

Once you've downloaded Windows Live Messenger, you can open it again by going to Favourites , then clicking on Windows Live Messenger again. To see how it all works - check out the demo below.
