X-Series small print
We want you to have an enjoyable and unlimited experience of X-Series services on 3. But as you'll understand we need to manage this, so here are some things you should know.
About X-Series, X-Series Silver, and X-Series Gold
To use X-Series, X-Series Silver, or X-Series Gold:
- To use X-Series, you need a handset with built in web browser. You also need to sign up to a Pay Monthly price plan, and buy the X-Series add-on - all from 3.
- To use X-Series Silver or Gold, you need to buy an X-Series mobile, sign up to a Pay Monthly price plan, and buy X-Series Silver or Gold all from 3. You can only use our X-Series Silver and Gold services on X-Series Silver and Gold mobiles.
If you also get a Slingbox, you'll need to take X-Series Gold for a minimum of 12 months, regardless of whether you are a new or existing customer. Otherwise, X-Series, X-Series Silver, and X-Series Gold are for a minimum period of 1 month when bought on connection to 3. Or if bought after connection there's no minimum period. After this they will stay active on your account until you cancel the one you've chosen.
If you don't use your monthly allowance it doesn't roll over to the next month.

Mobile access to Orb or Slingbox does not include using your mobile as a modem.
For Orb and Slingbox you'll need minimum PC software, PC and router specification and broadband at home.
Slingbox and Orb are for personal use only and you mustn't breach copyright or get around copyright protection.
To watch home TV on your mobile you need to have a TV service that you can legally view.
Slingbox is available separately and contains a Freeview receiver so you'll need a TV licence if you haven't already got one.
You're responsible for your compliance with all of these terms.
Where can I access X-Series?
All X-Series services will work when there's video coverage on 3's networks in the UK or overseas and, except for Orb and Sling, will work in our UK standard coverage as well.
When you're online
When using the internet, you can't use some websites (including adult websites) and some websites aren't compatible with all mobiles.
Some email accounts might need a premium service upgrade from your supplier.
X-Series Gold and Silver are provisioned as Add-ons and we may need to suspend or change them as permitted in the Terms for 3 Services.
Fair Use Policy - X-Series
To make the most of the X-Series from 3, we encourage you to use the services as much as you like. To help us meet our commitment to you and other customers, we also ask that you use the services fairly. Our take on fair use limits is set out below.
Please remember that the X-Series services are for your personal use only and do not include using your mobile as a modem with your PC or laptop.
A "month" is calculated from the start of each of your monthly billing periods. The following fair use limits are all separate and there is no double counting between them.
Fair Use Limit: 1 GB each month
X-Series - 1 GB should be more than enough to allow you to surf websites, use ISP email and download podcasts
X-Series Silver & Gold - 1 GB should be more than enough to allow you to surf websites, use Mobile Mail and download podcasts
We will let you know by text message once you have reached the fair use limit and ask you to cease using the included data services for the remainder of the month. If you continue to use the services we may suspend your data usage until the next month. This will not impact your access to other X-Series services.
Unlimited Windows Live Messenger
Fair Use Limit: 10,000 messages each month
This is more than 300 messages each and every day! If you exceed 10,000 messages we may suspend your access to Windows Live Messenger until the next month.
Unlimited Skype to Skype calls (X-Series Silver and X-Series Gold only)
Fair Use Limit: 5,000 minutes each month
5,000 minutes is more than 2.5 hours a day of Skype calls ¿ every day of the month. We will send you a text message to let you know when you have reached 4,500 minutes. If you exceed 5,000 minutes we will suspend your usage and it will not resume until the next month, however you will still be able to receive Skype calls.
Unlimited Slingbox and Orb (X-Series Gold)
Fair Use Limit: 80 hours each month
On X-Series Gold you get access to Orb and Slingbox (if you have one). These services have a total combined fair use limit of 80 hours each month. We will let you know by text message once you have reached the fair use limit and ask you to cease using it for the remainder of the month. If you continue to use the services we may suspend your Orb and Slingbox usage until the next month.
Using the X-Series Services to exploit the unlimited offers
We will also consider your use unfair if you use the X-Series services in any way designed to unfairly exploit the unlimited usage or cause us loss, for example, by using the services for commercial purposes, accessing services that are not included or using an unauthorised device.
We may make reasonable changes this policy in accordance with the Terms for 3 Services and any new version will replace this version.
