We're a nation of bingers. Binge-watchers, that is. So here at Three we've decided to do something about it. Introducing Go Binge, our latest partnership with Netflix, Deezer, TVPlayer and SoundCloud, to ensure you can watch what you like, when you like, without having to worry about running out of data (available for new customers and existing customers looking to upgrade).
When we tell people about our favourite hobbies, we tend to say we like being outdoors, are avid readers or are really into travelling.
What we don’t necessarily advertise? That 67% of us wish we had more time in the day… just to binge watch our favourite shows.
We don’t need to talk about streaming TV and watching episode after episode of our favourite programme night after night because it’s a given: we love consuming content – watching and listening – and we don’t need to be confined to our living rooms to do it anymore.
We’re a nation obsessed by mobile streaming and our viewing habits reflect that. We would know – we’ve just undertaken a massive research project, aka the Binge Files, with data specialists Censuswide (click here to check out the report in its entirety).
We spoke to thousands of British adults in the most comprehensive survey of its kind in the UK to find out just how, why, where and when we’re consuming our favourite TV shows in 2017 (FYI, people are watching TV everywhere. Even on the loo, according to 1 in 5 of us).
Go Binge – on us
Thing is, Three isn’t the type of company to find out a load of juicy info and do nothing about it. So we’ve launched Go Binge, a new UK service in partnership with Netflix, Deezer, TVPlayer and SoundCloud, where new customers and existing customers looking to upgrade can watch and listen to episode after episode and song after song without worrying about their data limit. You can even live stream, which just might be the future of streaming.
We repeat: you won’t be charged extra for any data used on these services. Even if you watch and listen 24 hours a day which would make you a serial binger by our reckoning (which you probably will, considering Three customers use an average of 6GB of data a month).
54% of people told us they were worried about using up their mobile data when streaming content, so we know what you’re thinking about. And with all those incredible shows and films out there, we know what you’re capable of – skiving off of work, missing nights out, binge-watching EVERY show (not just any one show). So we know you’ll appreciate this.
