Directory Services
You can dial 118333 for national directory services or 118313 from your 3 phone for international directory services to help you find what you’re after. If you need the police you can dial 101 - the new non-emergency number. And if it’s serious you’ll always be able to dial 999, even if your keypad is locked.
Directory Listings
You have the right to have your mobile number, name and address published in a public telephone directory and directory enquiry service. There are a variety of options available to you, and these include:
- BT and other Phone Books, CD ROMs and Internet directories
- Directory services (e.g. 118) – your number will not appear in a phone book, CD or on the internet but will be available via directory services
If you wish your mobile number and personal details to be listed in a directory and/or directory service then all you have to do is call our Contact Centre from your 3 mobile on 333. Our advisors will be pleased to explain the types of entry available and note your request. We will pass your details to BT who will enter your details in the relevant directories or service. Please note that we and BT are obliged to give directory information to other companies who are licensed to provide directory services that are available to the public. Your directory details may be made available to third parties for marketing purposes (including teleappending).
If you don’t want to receive unsolicited marketing calls from third parties, we would advise you to register your number with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). You can register with the TPS online at www.tpsonline.org.uk or by calling 0845 070 0707.
