Ever wondered why your pics don’t look as amazing as the ones on your fave influencer’s site? Maybe you want to know what’s stopping you from getting the right exposure? Well, wonder no more. Our Discovery team have the answer. And, if this isn’t enough, you can book in a digital workshop with one of our Discovery team.

Check out their video about how to use HDR mode on your phone to get the most stunning shots. And, when you’re done, share your HDR photos with us online through our social feeds.

Can’t watch the video? No worries. Here’s a quick summary for you.

HDR, or High Dynamic Range, is a setting in your phone that helps create the right level of contrast in a photo. When you take a shot in HDR mode, your phone will actually take 3 separate pictures and stitch them together. This gives you the best quality lighting in your shadows, highlights and mid-tones. It’s pretty snazzy.

It’s great for a bunch of different scenes, so you can snap to your heart’s content. However, HDR won’t work on moving objects or anything with strong, vivid colour – it’ll wash out your pics.

Basically, HDR mode can make your pictures pop with better quality contrast. Just make sure you’re not snapping anything fast moving or super saturated.
Now, go forth with your newfound knowledge and get the most awesome photo for your Insta feed!
