Our plans cater for both small and large businesses, so when you're working abroad you won't have to worry about costs spiraling out of control. Here's what you need to know.

Standard business plans

If you’ve got a standard business plan, you can unlock your UK call, text, and data allowance for a daily roaming charge of £2 for Go Roam in Europe, and £5 for destinations included in Go Roam Around the World. Charges include VAT where applicable. You can view the list of destinations this applies to in the FAQs below.

When you arrive in your roaming destination, you’ll receive a text confirming the roaming costs in that country, and you’ll be charged as soon as you use any of your plan's allowances. Subject to fair use [1]

Adapt plans

If you have an Adapt plan, the daily charge for Go Roam in Europe is automatically waived. You only pay for Go Roam Around the World, at a cost of £5 per day (inc. VAT where applicable). You can view a list of destinations this applies to in the FAQs below.

Enterprise plans

If you have an Enterprise SIM Only plan, you can unlock your UK call, text, and data allowance in Enterprise Go Roam destinations. There’s a daily cost of £5 (inc. VAT where applicable) that applies for unlocking it in Enterprise Go Roam Around The World destinations, but there is no daily cost for Enterprise Go Roam in Europe. You can view a list of destinations that this applies to in the FAQs below.

You can check whether you have an Enterprise SIM Only plan by seeing whether it has ‘ENT’ in the name on your bill.

Go Roam does not include calls or texts to international numbers. Applicable destinations can be found in the FAQs below.

Before you travel…

If you’re planning on using your phone abroad and will incur roaming charges, including any of the daily charges mentioned above, you may want to review your Spend Cap. If it’s set to £0, you may not be able to roam if a daily charge applies. If you increase your Spend Cap, remember to reduce it again when you return to the UK. We don't want you to spend more than you want to when using data on your phone or Mobile Broadband device abroad. So, to help you control your costs, we've set a worldwide data roaming limit of £45 per monthly bill cycle (exc. VAT).

You can review the Spend Caps set up or opt out of the worldwide data roaming limit on your phone numbers by logging in to your Three Business Account, or chatting to us.

  2. Select ‘Plan Settings’ from the homepage
  3. Scroll to the ‘Spend Cap’ section of the page to view your current Spend Cap
  4. Set a new Spend Cap, or opt out using the options available

Check your phone settings

We recommend checking the settings on your phone before you travel to make sure you’ve enabled data roaming. If you don’t do this, you’ll be unable to connect to use your services when abroad. Our Device support pages can guide you through how to do this:

Need lots of data?

Whatever Go Roam plan you have, with a £6 a day Data Passport you can get unlimited data to use when roaming. So you can do business abroad without worrying about unexpected data costs.

If you're roaming in selected destinations (set out below), you may choose to buy a Data Passport.

A Data Passport is available for £6 per day, or you can buy a 7 day pass for £30, or a 30 day pass for £60. Log in to your Three Business account to buy these (includes VAT where applicable).

  1. Log in to your Three Business account
  2. Click ‘Manage services’
  3. Check the Roaming tab and locate the Data Passport Add-ons from the available options. For further details including activation and expiry, see the applicable price guide.

Yes, all Three Business customers are charged a daily charge of £5 (inc. VAT where applicable) for Go Roam Around the World, and Enterprise Go Roam in Europe destinations. For other destinations, please refer to our price guide.

Before you go abroad, make sure you know what your PIN is so you can access voicemail when you're out of the country. Standard roaming charges will apply for listening to voicemail messages or calling the Three Business team, unless you’ve unlocked your Go Roam allowance in a Go Roam destination and are using minutes from your allowance.

In some countries, the first prompt you hear will be: 'If you're calling someone to leave a voicemail, press 1. If you're calling to access your mail, press 2.

Standard roaming charges will apply for listening to voicemail messages or calling the Three Business team when you're abroad. This applies unless you've unlocked your Go Roam allowance in a Go Roam destination, and are using your minutes.

If you’re the primary account holder, you can change your data roaming settings for each of your employees by logging in to your Three Business account. Once you’ve logged in, go to ‘Check your allowance’, ‘International settings’, then ‘Select your preferences’.

    What's the fair use policy for Enterprise Go Roam, Go Roam in Europe, and Go Roam Around the World?

    Go Roam in Europe: There is a fair use limit of 12GB data for both Enterprise Go Roam and Go Roam in Europe. For plans with a data allowance less than 12 GB, you can only use up to your allowance free of charge. All usage over the allowance is subject to Three's standard roaming rates.

    Go Roam Around the World: If a you have a plan that includes voice and text, you can send up to 5,000 texts back to the UK each month from an Enterprise Go Roam or Go Roam Around the World destination, and use 3,000 minutes on calls made to standard UK landlines or mobile numbers each month.

    Any usage over your allowance or above this policy will be subject to Three’s standard roaming rates, as set out in the applicable Business price guide or Enterprise price guide.
