What else do I need to know about Go Roam?
Go Roam lets you use your plan or add-on allowances in up to 71 destinations around the world. Go Roam is made up of Go Roam in Europe, which is available automatically on all of our plans, and Go Roam Around the World, which is available on all of our plans except Essential Plans.
With Go Roam in Europe you can use your allowances to call and text back to the UK and use your data (up to the fair use limit – see below), as well as make calls and send texts between our Go Roam in Europe destinations, and it won't cost you a penny more. If you don't have any allowance left, you'll also benefit from competitive roaming rates.
If you’re travelling to one of our Go Roam Around the World destinations, you can also use your allowances to call and text the UK and use your data at no extra cost (up to fair use limit – see below).
Using your call allowance to make calls to local or other international numbers while in a Go Roam destination isn't included. Using your phone for tethering in a Go Roam Around destination is only included if you've purchased our Data Passport. What’s our fair usage policy?
In our Go Roam in Europe destinations, you can use up to 19GB of your data allowance (15.1GB if on Pay As You Go) at no extra cost. Use over this fair use limit, is subject to a surcharge. There are no fair use limits for calls made or texts sent within our Go Roam in Europe destinations.
If you're in a Go Roam Around the World destination:
• If you have a data allowance greater than 12GB, you can use up to this amount of data a month at no extra cost. Data use above this will not be allowed.
• If you have unlimited texts you can send up to 5000 texts back to the UK (landline and mobile numbers) per month.
• If you have 3000 or more minutes included in your allowance you can use up to 3000 minutes on calls back to the UK.
How do I activate to Go Roam?
Go Roam works automatically when you arrive in a Go Roam destination as long as data roaming is switched on in your device's settings. If you’re a Pay As You Go customer, you’ll need to have activated your SIM and made a chargeable event such as making a call, sending a text or getting online, in the UK first. When you arrive in your destination, you’ll receive a text confirming the roaming costs in that country. To check out the standard international roaming charges for the country you’re visiting, go to Roaming Charges and choose your destination.
Don't forget that when you're calling or texting back to the UK, you'll need to replace the first 0 in the number you're calling or texting with +44.
What if I’m travelling to a non-Go Roam destination?
If you’re travelling to a non-Go Roam destination you will not be able to use your available allowances, you will be charged the standard roaming rates which vary depending on destination. Visit our roaming abroad page to find out more.
What else do I need to know about Hands Free with Three?
If you’re on Pay As You Go, make sure you’re opted into Pay As You Go Rewards in the wuntu app, then you can claim 1 free upgrade to Hands Free with Three every time you grab a £35 Unlimited Add-on. If you’re a Business or Pay Monthly customer, you’ll need to have had your plan for at least 30 days and you can claim one upgrade to Hands Free with Three per flight.
When you check in your cabin bag, you’ll get an exclusive Three tote bag for all your travel essentials. The usual cabin bag restrictions apply, as listed on the easyJet website. Valid on easyJet UK outbound flights only. If you have any problems, give us a call on 333 from a Three phone or 0333 338 1001 from any other phone. Find out more in our full terms and conditions.
Is there any other way to get my upgrade?
If you’re a Pay Monthly or Business customer, you can also claim your easyJet Hands Free with Three upgrade by texting the word “UPGRADE” and your easyJet flight number, date of travel and last name to 88555 – it’s free of charge. Here’s an example: UPGRADE EZY1234 25.12.19 Smith.
We’ll text you a voucher for your upgrade. Keep hold of the message, as you’ll need it on when you travel. When you arrive for your easyJet flight, head to the easyJet Plus Bag Drop and show them your voucher. Remember, the details in your voucher must match your flight details.
If you’re on Pay As You Go, you’ll need to download wuntu and opt-in to Pay As You Go Rewards, then purchase an Unlimited Add-on or unlock a tier to choose easyJet Hands Free from our range of Pay As You Go Rewards Partners.
