How do Samsung Z Series Flip and Fold phones work?

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is released on 25 July 2025, and it’s the thinnest, lightest, and most powerful Z phone yet. The phone is only 4.2mm thick when open, and 8.9mm when folded. That’s a big difference from the previous phone, the Galaxy Z Fold6, which was 5.2mm when unfolded, and 12.1mm when folded. And it weighs only 218 grams, compared to 239 grams for the Fold6.

It also packs in some premium specs, hardware that rivals Samsung’s flagship S25 Ultra phone. The Snapdragon Elite 8 processor is widely considered one of the best chipsets available in a smartphone and delivers incredible graphics when you’re gaming and almost instant responses with AI. The main camera has been upgraded to an incredible 200MP, delivering incredible pixel-perfect detail for all your photos.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 is released on 25 July 2024. It’s the thinnest and most advanced Galaxy Z Flip ever. The new edge-to-edge 4.1inch cover screen not only looks incredible, but it comes fully optimised for Galaxy AI and Google Gemini. You can ask questions, make requests for actions across multiple apps, and that’s without even unfolding your phone to reveal the expansive 6.9-inch screen.
