Smartphones

There's no standard definition of a smartphone, but they usually give you these key things:

Great camera (5MP+)

These phones have a 5.0 megapixel resolution or more and come with a variety of features, like Xenon flashes, High Definition video recording, Face Detection, Smile Detection, auto-focus or Carl Zeiss Optics.

Best for email

These phones have a Qwerty keypad or a touchscreen that presents a Qwerty keyboard. They offer 'push mail' (so your emails get sent directly to your phone) and let you access your calendar or download attachments.

GPS for maps

You can view maps, find your exact location, search for local places, and get directions when you're out and about on these phones. They tend to have larger screens and many come with either Google Maps or Nokia Maps preloaded.
