Benefits of moving to Three.
If you’re travelling to one of our 42 Feel At Home destinations, you can enjoy mobile roaming at no extra cost. This lets you use your monthly allowance to call and text back to the UK, or use data abroad just as you would in the UK. Please note Feel At Home does not work with Three Essential plans. If you choose to go for Pay As You Go, our rates are the UK’s lowest. It’s just 3p per minute, 2p per text and 1p per MB of data. These prices remain the same no matter how frequently or infrequently you top-up, making it even easier to keep track of how much you’re paying for your usage. And whether you need a Standard, Micro or Nano SIM, the SIM is delivered within a few working days ready for any unlocked device.
Best SIM only deals.
We offer a range of SIM only deals to choose from. Whether it’s a one-month or 12-month pay monthly SIM you’re looking for, Three has SIM plans covered. All plans come with All-you-can-eat texts, but when it comes to minutes, you can choose from either 200, 600 or All-you- can-eat minutes. There are also various data allowances available, ranging from 500MB to 30GB. One of the most popular SIM only deals is our 12-month SIM only contract with 1GB of data and All-you- can-eat minutes and texts. Or if you’re looking for more data, then you can get our 12-month contract which includes 30GB of data and 600 minutes. Make the most of these SIM only contracts or check out the whole selection on our SIM only plans page.
We have 97% 3G coverage in the UK and are rolling out 4G in certain cities across the UK. 4G comes at no extra cost to all Three customers, so as soon as your area is 4G enabled, you won’t need to pay any extra to enjoy its benefits. Check our coverage and network status map to see what coverage is like in your area.

What is SIM only?
SIM only is a SIM that doesn’t come with a phone or tablet but includes calls, text and data. It is a SIM that allows you to pay for what you use. If you are happy with your current phone or tablet and are not looking to get a new one, a SIM only contract is a great option as you’ll be saving money by going for a plan that only includes your required usage. If you get SIM only, it will work on any phone or tablet as long as they are unlocked or on the network you want to use the SIM on. If you get a SIM only deal, the contract time is usually shorter which means you have the flexibility to change plans more often.
What to do with your old SIM.
Before you dispose of your old SIM, make sure anything that is saved on your SIM is backed up. This could be anything from phone contacts to text messages. Once you’ve got everything that was saved on your SIM, you should then cut up/remove the gold foil on your SIM. This prevents the SIM from working, which then makes it safe to throw away. Once you’re happy with it, you can throw the SIM away.
Which SIM Size do I need?
There are three SIM sizes to choose from: Standard SIM, Micro SIM and Nano SIM. Most newer phones take a Nano SIM, while the majority of older phones take a Micro SIM. Some non-smartphones do still take a Standard SIM, though. Check the box or manual of your phone to see which SIM you need. Alternatively, you can check the SIM tray to see which SIM size is needed.
How to keep your existing number.
You can keep your existing phone number if you're switching from another provider. It’s really easy to do so too. All you need to do is ask your current network for your PAC (porting authorisation code) via their site or by calling them. You can follow the step-by- step process on our bringing your number to Three guide. The PAC code is given for free and is usually given within 24 hours. Once the PAC has been received, you then need to fill in the number moving form on Three and depending on the time you put through the request, your number can be ported the very next day (excluding weekends).
