You’ll need to set up a password while you’re above ground and connected to our network. Just go to your My3 account, select Free Wi-Fi on London Underground and follow the instructions. It can take up to 48 hours for your account to activate. If you’re on Mobile Broadband, you might want to make a note of your Mobile Broadband number.
Use Free Wi-Fi Underground.
When you get to a participating station, turn on Wi-Fi and connect to Virgin Media WiFi. Then open up a browser, pick Three from the Other providers dropdown and log in using your Three number and the password you set up.

As long as you have a personal account with us, you can connect to Free Wi-Fi on London Underground. You just need to be an active Three user.
This means that if you're on Pay Monthly you need to have all your bills paid up to date. If you’re on Pay As You Go, you need to have used your account to make a call, send a text or use data in the last 30 days.

It's as easy as connecting to your home Wi-Fi. You can connect using any device that can connect to a home, work or public Wi-Fi network, including phones, tablets and laptops.
You can use up to three devices on Free Wi-Fi on London Underground, and you’ll need to sign in with your password on each device the first time you use it. Once you’ve done this, that device will be automatically recognised every time you connect to Free Wi-Fi on London Underground and you won’t need to re-enter your details.
Our Free Wi-Fi on London Underground works in Wi-Fi enabled stations. It doesn’t work while you’re travelling on the Tube between stations. You’ll be taken to the Virgin Media homepage whenever you’re within range of a Wi-Fi enabled station.

If you'd prefer to log out of the service so that you're asked for your password again the next time you want to connect, you can log out at any time by selecting Menu from the Virgin Media homepage and then selecting Sign Out.

If you're on Pay As You Go and you're having trouble logging in, you may not have used any of our services recently enough. You need to have made a call, sent a text or used data on our network at some point in the last 30 days to be able to use Free Wi-Fi on London Underground. If you've done this but are still having trouble using the Wi-Fi, give us a call:
- If you're calling about a phone account, call us on 333 from a Three phone or 0333 338 1001 (standard rates apply) from any other phone.
- If you're calling about a Mobile Broadband account, call us on 500 from a Three phone or 0333 338 1003 (standard rates apply) from any other phone.
It can take 48 hours for your account to register once you've set your password in the Free Wi-Fi on London Underground section of My3. If you've only just registered and you can't connect, try again in a day or two.
Some business BlackBerry devices won't let you use email over any Wi-Fi connection, including Wi-Fi on London Underground. Please contact your IT department to check if your business device will work.
If the internet doesn't seem to work, this may be a temporary issue. These can be caused if TFL or Virgin Media have problems and need to work on the network. This is very rare, but if it does happen, service will usually resume again in a short time.
