The device turns any TV into a Smart TV, so you don't need a Smart TV to use it. A valid TV licence is required to watch live TV content. Vodafone TV cannot be added to an existing Vodafone or Three plan as a standalone add-on, so you'll need to upgrade to a new plan that includes Vodafone TV.
