Inadvertent roaming – also known as accidental roaming – is when your device accidentally connects to a network in another destination. This can happen if:
- You live or travel near an international border, where your device may connect to a network in different country
- You live or travel near a coastline, where your device may connect to a maritime network
- You’re on a plane, where your device may connect to an airline network
Connecting to another network may mean you’re charged higher roaming rates. If you connect to a network in a new destination, we’ll send you a text explaining any charges you can expect there.
If you’ve opted out of these notifications, you can reactivate them by texting START to 330.
We’ll also let you know if any roaming charges are incurred, and when any Go Roam Passes or Data Passports are activated and end.
