Getting Home Broadband
Coverage and signal
Before you get set up, remember to check if your area is ready for 5G Home Broadband. Go to our Home Broadband page and enter your postcode – easy.
Can’t find your postcode? No problem. This can happen if your property is new, or has been reconfigured. Big building that’s been split into multiple homes? Your postcode might not show up. Just get in touch with us and we’ll check your coverage for you.
Even if you don’t get great signal on your phone, 5G Home Broadband can still be a great option. So long as it’s available in your area, it should work just fine. Your Home Broadband Hub will sit in one place, out of the way of anything that might block the signal. Plus, we offer a 14-day money back guarantee, so if something isn’t working for you, just get in touch.

Let’s get started
We can’t wait to get you set up. Before you sign up with Home Broadband, get in touch with your current provider to let them know you’re leaving. If you have a 4G or 5G Home Broadband connection, you can get a Service Termination Authorisation Code (STAC) from them. Tell us what it is, and we’ll do the rest.
The awesome thing is, most people can get Home Broadband with next day delivery. You don’t need a phone line, there’s no installation fee, and no engineers required. It’s plug and play. You can even take your Hub with you if you move, so long as your new place gets coverage.
Need a hand?
Checking you’re connected
Got your Hub? Ready to get connected? Awesome. You should be able to plug it in, pop it on the windowsill and go. Your broadband network name and Wi-Fi key will be on the bottom of your Hub.
You’ll see a signal indicator light on your Hub when you’re connected. Green means strong, orange is medium, and red is weak. No lights? That means there’s no network connection or power. If you’re having problems, get in touch and we’ll help you out.
Connection issues
If you’re having problems with your signal, check your Hub’s position. The best place for it is on or near a windowsill, so try moving it if you can. You can also download the Huawei app to help you find the best place for your Hub. Need more info? Go to our How to get the best performance page.
Coverage in your area, but not in your home?
On some occasions, homes in the same area might get a different level of coverage. We estimate this based on each individual address so that we can offer you the best experience.
There’s some good news, though. You can register your interest and we'll let you know if 5G Home Broadband comes to your area. Or, we offer 4G Home Broadband and Mobile Broadband devices to get you connected at home or out and about.
Moving somewhere you don’t get coverage?
If you’re moving home and your new location doesn’t get 5G coverage, get in touch. You’ll still be able to use your Hub in a 4G area, but if you’re not sure about something, we’ll help you out.
