Everything you need to know about moving to Vodafone

We’ll share relevant personal details from your Three account to make the setup of your new Vodafone account seamless.

You can absolutely keep your number. If you choose one of your handpicked Vodafone offers, we’ll move your number across for you. No PACs. No losing your number. No hassle. Just pop in your new SIM, or activate your eSIM, and we’ll take care of the rest.

When it’s time to upgrade, we’ll send you some offers we think you might like. If you want to upgrade to any of them or to find out more, you can go to any Vodafone or Three store.
 

Yes, you can. If you buy a new Vodafone plan or plan with a device, you’ll get the chance to trade in your current device. You can use the trade-in amount to: 

  • Make a monthly saving on your airtime 
  • Make a payment towards your next airtime bill 

Yes. If you move to a Vodafone plan, you can manage it using My Vodafone and the Vodafone app. Already got a Vodafone account? Your new account can be added when you log in.

Prices depend on your individual offers and needs. Any annual price increase on a plan is made clear in pounds and pence when you buy it.

You can check your coverage anytime. But by combining our networks, your coverage will only keep getting better.
 

If you have a device plan agreement with us, you must continue to pay the outstanding balance, as agreed. You’ll still be able to view and manage your device plan details on My3 or the Three app.

Although we’ll share relevant personal details, some of your account settings won’t move over to your new Vodafone account. They include: 

  • Account users
  • Spend Cap 
  • Support needs 

If you have Three Insurance for your device, it’ll end automatically when you join Vodafone. You don’t need to do anything, and you’ll no longer be charged.  
If your device is less than 37 months old, you may be able to buy Vodafone Insurance to cover it.

If you have a smartwatch plan with Three, it’ll end automatically when you move to Vodafone. You can get a OneNumber Connectivity plan to connect your smartwatch once you’ve moved to a Vodafone Pay Monthly plan.

Vodafone’s Change of Mind Policy gives you a 14-day cooling off period to cancel your Vodafone plan. You can let them know you’ve changed your mind by calling 03333 040 191. 
 
If you got a device with your Vodafone plan, you’ll need to return it within 14 days. Find out how to return an item to Vodafone.

If you move from Three to Vodafone and use an iOS device, RCS (Rich Communication Services) messaging will no longer be available. Your phone will automatically fall back to SMS or MMS when messaging Android users.  
 
MMS could be chargeable, depending on your plan so please be aware that your costs and messaging experience may change if you move to Vodafone.
